In case of emergency, all your first responders such as the Sheriff’s Office, Fire Departments, Police Departments, etc., county EMA, the Crawford County General Health District and the Galion City Health Department.


The Crawford County General Health District has access to statewide issuance for birth certificates for anyone born in Ohio from 1908 to present. Certified copies of Death Certificates can be obtained for individuals that died in Crawford County excluding Galion City from 1908 to present.

The Crawford County General Health District offers child, adolescent and adult immunizations during our weekly immunization clinic at the health department and our monthly immunization clinic in New Washington. The clinic schedule is available on our website. Vaccine preventable disease rates are at their lowest level ever, however immunization coverage rates remain sub optimal. Educational outreach regarding current vaccines continues to be a priority of the public health nurses.		The Crawford County General Health District participates in Ohio’s Help Me Grow Program.

Blood pressure screening is available at any time whenever a nurse is available. Records are kept in our office to monitor for changes. These records may be shared with your family physician for treatment purposes.		The Crawford County General Health District has registered nurses certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as child passenger safety seat technicians. These skilled nurses provide one hour classes on child safety seat education.
